Compared with the traditional mechanical feeder, the high-speed servo feeder has higher feeding accuracy and better stability. Mechanical feeder adopts mechanical transmission. Due to the gap of the output shaft and the cooperation of the transmission parts, the feed accuracy can only be guaranteed within 0.05mm, but the high-speed servo feeder is different. The servo motor directly drives the feeding roller through the synchronous belt wheel, and the punching cam provides signals for relaxation and feeding. The feeding accuracy and synchronization are high, and the feeding accuracy can be guaranteed within 0.02mm without interference from external factors. In short-distance high-speed feeding, the feeding accuracy can be maintained within 0.02mm.

Although high-speed servo feeders and mechanical feeders are collectively referred to as general mainstream feeding equipment, their scope of application is limited to a certain extent. High-speed servo feeders have a wider scope of application and a higher degree of customization. In particular, due to the limitation of its transmission principle, the mechanical feeder has obvious matching requirements, while the high-speed servo feeder has no such limitation at all.

When using a mechanical feeder, the punch must have an output shaft, the average material width is less than 400mm, the thickness is less than 3.5mm, and the feeding step distance is less than 300mm. However, the high-speed servo feeder does not need additional driving, and the width and thickness can reach several times of the mechanical feeder, which has nothing to do with the step distance and the matching punch.

The high-speed debugging and operation of the servo feeder are easier, the labor intensity is less, and the effective working time is increased. Before using the mechanical feeder, it is necessary to carry out a jog test according to the actual matching mold. Continuous stamping production can only be carried out after debugging the material width, material thickness and feeding steps. The adjustment of the number of steps is one of the important links. The adjustment of the step distance of the roller feeder needs to adjust the eccentric disc installed on the output shaft of the punch, which is not only complicated to adjust, but also affected by the gap of the output shaft and braking inertia. After adjusting the inching step distance, it needs to be adjusted repeatedly according to actual experience to achieve the actual step distance required for continuous punching, which must be completed by professional and technical personnel, while the high-speed servo feeder does not need to consider so many factors at all, and only needs to simply set on the touch screen, simple and time-saving.
